About   Mrs Rekha Nadgauda

Rekha  Nadgauda  started  her  illustrious  career  in kathak  at  the  young  age  of  10.

She  learnt  her  initial  lesson  from  late  Guru  Hyder Sheikh  in  Nashik  before  assuming  disciple - hood  of late  Guru  Pt. Nataraj  Gopi  krishana  &  Pt. Shama Bhate .

The  greatest  award  she  has  received  is  the  success  of her  Kathak  Dance  institute  ' Kirti  Kala  Mandir' . And  the  success  of  her  students  in  the  field  of  Kathak . Being  a  Guru ,  Choreographer , for  last  34  years  she has  imparted  her  knowledge  in  her  students  and brought  to  reality  her  unique  ideas  through  her various  productions .

She  is  of  the  opinion  that  one  should  never  stop learning.  Such  is  the  multidimensional  persona  of Rekha  Nadgauda. A  humble  student, a  devoted  teacher, a  creative  artist  and  above  all  warm  person  dedicated  towards  the  cause  of  promoting  art.

  Rekha's  immense  knowledge  of  Kathak  is  well  known  all  over  India  and  she  is frequently  called  to  guide the  students  of  Kathak .

AWARDS:

• 'Srigarmani'  title  by  Sursingar  Sansad , Mumbai  1985 , and  she  has  conferred  as  Guru  by Sursingar.
• 'Kalakar Bhushan' award  by  Andhra  Bhasha  Hindi Prachar  Samiti  in  1992 .
• 'Professional Dance Merit' by  Rotary  Club  of  Nashik  in 1998.
• 'Sanskruti Vaibhav ' award  in  1999, are  few  of  the jewels  esconed  in  her  crown  of  achievements  as a  dancer  par  excellence .
• 'Lokmat Sakhi - Gaurav Puraskar' in  2002 .
